Back to Cairo, IL

Walker and I flew through a little town called Cairo, IL (KAY-ROW) and we both thought that it was a town revisiting. The Mississippi and Ohio rivers meet at this town and three states are accessible by bridge. The historic district of this little town is almost completely empty. The buildings are falling apart and most of them are up for public auction. I couldn't help but think how cool this town could be as a Marfa-esque artists colony. So many huge old buildings that would be perfect as artist studios. Anyway, Derek and I climbed around the ruins until the local cops caught up to us after Derek tried to get into a building that was actually still in use. We talked our way out of it and then went on our way.
